Sally-Anne Peek

Meet the Author

Sally-Anne Peek, is an acclaimed early-years educator and entrepreneur, and the author of children's book, 'Stuck in the Mud'. This beautiful storybook is based on an experience she had with her niece, Eleanor, after they found themselves stuck in a large muddy puddle on a farm.

BIG KID AT HEART

Having graduated from Glasgow University, Sally-Anne started her teaching career at Glasgow Academy before moving to George Watson's College in Edinburgh.

In 1998, she opened my own award-winning children's nursery and remained in post until her retirement in 2021.

As a 'big kid at heart', she enjoys reading and telling stories to children. Often dressing up and adopting different accents and dialects to get into character.

Lorna Catriona Radbourne

Meet the Illustrator

Lorna Catriona Radbourne owns 'Catriona Studios' and works in her garden studio and workshop in rural Perthshire. She is married with a son and daughter.

Her career has included working as an education officer, primary teacher, sculptor and artist.

All Over The World

Lorna's work has sold internationally, from Russia to Australia and everywhere in between.

In 1997, she began to specialise in stained glass alongside her work in watercolour, acrylics, collage and sculpture.

She was asked to submit an 'Oor Wullie' for the Bucket Trail in 2018.

Surprise!

Sally-Anne and Lorna were at school together and have been friends for many years. On completion of Sally-Anne's first book, she looked no further than Lorna to bring her story to life.

It is the first time they have written or illustrated a children's book, but both thoroughly enjoyed working together.

So much so, they have started on book number two.

world book day

Great job from the author and illustrator! Excited for more books to follow and a lovely theme of working together and using a growth mindset and resilience. So important to instil into children!

hip hip horray

Lovely book with beautiful illustrations. The footprints and the hidden mice had my child hooked. Our child loved it so much we read it 3 times within an hour of opening the box! Definitely recommend.
